Founded in 2014, Sailing Club Leisure Group originated from Peter Vidotto’s iconic Sailing Club Nha Trang Beach Club established in 1994. Over the years, SCLG has evolved into a dynamic force, focusing on developing a diverse array of hospitality brands under the Sailing Club umbrella. While maintaining the legacy of managing various hotels, resorts, restaurants, and beach clubs, our primary emphasis has shifted towards the strategic expansion and refinement of our unique brand portfolio.

PRINCIPAL
From my first visit to Vietnam in 1992, I saw potential it had way before its current tourism boom. I started now-iconic Sailing Club Nha Trang in 1994, with a small bamboo structure. Sailing Club grew with Vietnam to what it is now. In 2001 I started Sailing Club Mui Ne. My track record serves to prove I don’t do things in half measures and when I decided to form Sailing Club Leisure group with Louis Walters, I knew the timing was right and that as a group we have a lot to offer potential partners and operators.

LOUIS WALTERS
MANAGING DIRECTOR
I have extensive experience in Vietnam overseeing the construction and management of restaurants, hotels and resorts. With over a decade of growth within the Vietnamese hospitality industry I have been part of the boom and seen the huge potential Asia has to offer. I have been instrumental in developing the concept and the final implementation of the Mia brand for the last 10 years.

DEREK WALTERS
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & OPERATIONS
After completing my Honours in Accounting at one of Africa’s most prestigious Universities, I was quick to move up the ranks as a registered chartered accountant. Following my heart, I have taken the experience I gained from the top companies and coupled it with my passion for hospitality. I am able to maximise profits while not sacrificing on standards and guest experience.
My strong auditing background means I am able to understand all aspects of the operation and quickly find solutions to increase revenue.
